I like Beethoven. Not everything, symphony No 9,i listen to him often, his inventiveness, his lightness and a romanticism that can suddenly rise up from who knows where. When I listen, I often wonder what he would think of me. What did he know about the music my ancestors listened to or played, during his life time? Despite his genius, would he have been capable of appreciating their art they way I appreciate his music today? I doubt it. Now flash forward to right now, The first world and the third world have collapsed..... What we live in today is the Afro-surreal; a 'future past', called right now.
